ROLLING STONES
"NO SECURITY"
VIRGIN RECORDS

Well, there ain’t much you can criticize with a seventh live album from a recording breaking tour after some 35 years together.

Thankfully, Mick and Keith made a brilliant decision here, including in this album’s 14 tracks not one that had been released on their previous six live records. While we are spared still another live version of "Jumping Jack Flash," we still get classics like "Respectable," "Live with Me," and a strong "Sister Morphine," along with hidden gems like "Memory Motel," (with guest Dave Mathews) and "Corinna," (with Taj Mahal).

Most importantly, the newer songs on this collection, most from "Bridges to Babylon," like "Out of Control," and "Saint of Me," sound infused with a collective shot to the jugular, rather than just a run through to help support a new "product."

This is what it is, a record of still another tour by the World’s Greatest Rock and Roll Band. Beyond that, it’s interesting and it takes chances, which is something to say after 35 years.
