CHRIS HILLMAN
"LIKE A HURRICANE"
SUGAR HILL

Notwithstanding his liner notes comments about the ultimate source of country rock, Hillman knows from where he preaches. A member of both the Rock and Roll and Country Music Halls of Fame (there are very few who can make that claim), the former Burrito/Byrd/Desert Rose member has given us another satisfying collection of warm, down to Earth, basic songs.

The only crime here, as has been evident with every single solo release Hillman has done for Sugar Hill, is that the album is woefully short in this compact disk age. The length is only slightly less than 45 minutes, which is ridiculous, given that there’s obviously twice that amount of space available on the disk.

Great tunes, sung and performede very well. But way too short.
